For HONEXT\u00ae, doing less harm was no longer enough. With 40% of global CO2 emissions coming from construction and half being directly associated with the materials used, HONEXT\u00ae wanted to offer a circular alternative.<\/div>

The paper industry downcycles the cellulose fibres until they are too poor and too short to be used again, creating primary sludge. Paper mills in Europe produce 8M tonnes per year of that sludge. Usually, the fibres are treated as waste material and are discarded to landfill. HONEXT\u00ae upcycles that primary sludge into non-toxic, circular, fibre retardant fibreboards.<\/div>

For every 100m2 of HONEXT\u00ae, 720kg of cellulose waste is being saved from ending up in landfills or being burnt.<\/div>

They come from waste, and aim to never become waste again.
